At this point, I just need to finish the appendices and then there's only one more thing to do. I want to add a scene in which Taya confronts the spirits of the wind over her mother's fate.
I have been thinking that in addition to getting a cover, I should also have an artist make a map of Aeovas.
Whether it rises to the importance of having an artist do the work, I can't say. But I always feel better grounded in a story like Violet Skies when there is a map to look at, to give the setting a visual element that a verbal description lacks. It also pulls together in one place all the description you spread out through the whole narrative. And it should last the whole series - barring massive earthquakes or spells gone bad!
